Cool trail. On the way down I thought the the hike up was going to be hard. But we ended up walking up the road which was easier. Great little hike. My GPS said 2.86 miles and it took us about an hour and 20 minutes with photos and beach. We had to work our way around the mud on the way to the stump house.

The trail itself is beautiful and well maintained. We tried the trail with a stroller and definitely don't recommend that. Water access is currently closed and the path to the stump house was difficult, after a few wrong paths and one of us falling into the water we turned back. Elevation gain back up was too much for 4yo but 7yo did fine.

Beautiful! Enjoyed this a lot. The trail is more fun than the driveway. Don't miss the stump house! the beach is flat and beautiful, with a creek emptying out into the Canal.

Awesome trail! Needs some attention in some parts but was super happy to run it and get my work out in!

Absolutely beautiful trail. We only did about 2.7 miles so not sure how that happened as I thought I followed everything. No bathrooms but that ended up being fine. The beach area with the fog and snow cap mountains was spectacular. I highly recommend.

Love loved loved this hike! Did it as a family hike and we had a blast. The misty weather didn’t bother us and we enjoyed the stump house, the slugs, deer, blue herons and crabs! Going up Sawmill Trail from the beach was most of the elevation of the hike but in this weather, it’s better to go up it then slide down it as the trails were wet & muddy.
