This trail has been noted for being longer (27 miles) if done in a full loop. Sandy and I hiked this last summer of 2013 and completed it in 3 days. We started at the Sloan Creek Campground where the Trail to White Pass and Glacier Peak begin, then cross the fork of the Sauk River and proceed to gain the maximum elevation of the entire hike and camp at the first open ridge top. 2nd day we hiked to Blue Lake, and 3rd day we hiked the rest of the loop back around to Bald Eagle Mtn, then to Quartz Creek and then to the Trailhead and Horse corral at the other end of the trail. We then finished the loop and road walked back to the start of our Hike back at Sloan Creek Campgrounds.
