Snowshoes are a must. Morning started sunny but the clouds came in and brought whiteout conditions.

HikingGreat!

Hiked this a few months back before the snow. Wow! What a beautiful trail. Very easy hike, that I would consider family friendly. Saw lots of parents with small children. So much to see, and do around the lakes. For a more challenging hike, you could add in the Chain Lakes Loop.

Only recorded the return trip, so our round trip was 2.4 miles. No snow today, a little wet, very crowded. Started at 11am and the lot was packed.

Was a good trail for beginners. You do not have to be in shape to enjoy this hike. paused many times for photos. Need water proof footwear.

Nature tripsGreat!

The trail was stunning, very simple and easy trail. However, it feels like you’re in a different country. I am also partial to the trail because my now fiancé proposed on the bridge. Obviously I recommend but definitely easy for a family or just a simple hike. The drive was easy, paved, and well maintained.

Short and sweet trail. Pretty narrow at times making it difficult to pass other hikers. Nice lake/creekside views. Doesn’t take too long to complete (~45 minutes) so would definitely do this loop and find other hikes in the area to optimize the trip out here.

Best hike in the Baker area with kids. You feel like you are walking through a Thomas Kincaid painting. I did this trail and part of the Chain Lakes trail with my 5, 7, and 10 year old 8/17. Tons of parking when we got there around noon and when we left around 4. Lots of huckleberries and the bugs weren’t bad.

HikingGreat!

1. Artist point is NOT closed. Hiked 8/18, backside lower bagley lake up toward Table mtn. Beautiful views everywhere, trail is rocky, no bugs, and wildflowers abound. Glad I brought poles with me, incline is doable, but will take time. toughest part just past the rock scramble thru the zip zags on up to the top. Cool hearing the call of a Pika, surprisingly loud. Looking forward to coming in from artist point next time. Def be back for other trails in the area as well.

Very narrow trail, most folks were polite and tried to give space. Majority were not masked. Make sure you pack your bug spray in because you will need to reapply several times on the hike.

Great 5.5 miler that starts mellow around the lakes and climbs quickly after. Still some snow mid July, manageable with decent boots. 10/10 would recommend.
