Great trail for a family. Our kids loved it. If only it had more shade though

Very good views. Would highly recommend getting water and something to eat as it gets really hot in summer. Saw a couple getting their blood sugar low.

Great hike, depending on your speed you can finish this trail in hour. About 1/4 - 1/2 of the trail is pretty rocky but nothing too difficult. Lots of people hiking, I just got done at 9:30 and there was quite a few people. I went last Friday at 9:30am and there was a good amount of people on the trail then too.

Did a 7 mile hike yesterday. Love the fact that so many trails interconnect with each other so you have the option of doing “short” trails or longer ones if you choose. Amazing views. Beautiful in the evening.

Good hike I like that it’s kid/dog friendly. One of the trail openings is closed but you can still go around. Very easy for experienced hikers but good trail for those who don’t really have experience.

Went last night with 4 dogs and a 3 family members. I only saw one other party on the trail. Night hikes on a clear quiet evening promise a beautiful view of the Tri-cities lights at night.

Not bad, best in spring before it gets too hot. Better go early to beat traffic.

Dry and dusty, as expected for conditions of the Tri-Cities. Trail is shared with bicyclists, who by standard are to yield to pedestrians. Such was not the case on this trail, where you have to jump out of the way of bicycles traveling in the opposite direction. Views are nice as you gain in elevation, and the radio antenna building at the peak provides shade to rest in. Hiked it with great friends, therefore it was a great day.

I have hiked this many times. Decent, quick workout. Agreed that scenery and amenities are average. There is a structural bathroom with drinking fountain on the East side in the little park, and a porta-pottie at the West parking lot, but that's it. Trail etiquette poorish - people frequently disregard trail closed signs during trail construction and rehabilitation, young and old alike. . New (third) trail open that skirts the South side. No shade.
