Rock Creek Park

Rock Creek Park Historical Loop is a 1.6 mile loop trail located near Washington, District of Columbia and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and horses and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Not really much historical stuff to see on the hike, but a nice walk. Trail guide was helpful from park website (https://www.nps.gov/rocr/planyourvisit/upload/FINAL-Highlighted-Hikes-in-ROCR-2018.pdf )

Easy, great for small kids. Can often still hear traffic. Nice and shady, with some interesting historical sites along the way.
