Good paved path all along with some urban views. Many bikers, runners, walkers. East Bend seems busier than west bend.

Great trail! We enjoyed a beautiful ride following this path. There are plenty of opportunities to add more to the ride though.

Perfect trail for Road Biking! You can ride the trail or get on the road. Not too many vehicles passing through.

My favorite type of road trail...mixed scenery, quiet, easy to pass pedestrians, and explores hidden parts of the city. Highly recommend beginning at the anacostia Rex center and head north. Marshes, meadows, good shade, and stop at the kenilworth botanical gardens along the way. Going south along the Potomac from the red center along the east bank is flat and plenty of dc sights...Nats park, capitol, etc. perhaps more fun for tourists, but standard stuff you can see from the highway for locals. Go north!!

Excellent trail with beautiful views of Kenilworth Aquatic Garden marshes and the Anacostia watershed. This map is for the loop but this trail also connects with the Anacostia river trail and we dipped off the loop and took the river trail to Bladensburg waterfront park.

had a nice ride on this trail today. I started at the north end and rode down the East Bank trail, then crossed over a bridge to the west side and connected to the Capital Crescent trail via city roads. A very straightforward and easy ride with some nice scenery.
