Not a pretty trail. It runs parallel to a semi-industrial area (body shops, boutique manufacturing, auto repair, etc.). The other side of the trail has community gardens and duplex housing. The trail is paved, and in good repair. I wouldn't do this one again.

This is a beautifully kept trail. it's good for biking and running. There are some dirt paths for hiking but not very challenging, good for a beginner. Also several parks, river access etc for kids and dogs.

We have done the trail many times. Good trail but can be crowded. Leave doggy at home unless you are walking and have a good dog. There a few off shoots. Custis, four mile run and neighborhoods.
