Fun and quick hike. There are big rocks you have to climb on at the end to get to the view. There is a small parking lot (probably about 16 spaces) for the trail and the trailhead is directly across the street from the parking lot.

Nice hike, but very rocky. Wear appropriate footwear. The views from the summit are well worth it! It’s a very popular hike, so get there early for a good parking space (9 - 9:30) on weekends and holidays.

A good quick trail for a morning hike with the dog. I would suggest getting in to start before 8:30 bc it’s a short trail, so being one of the first up makes for less passing on your route up. Passed one on my way up, and maybe a dozen on my return.

Really nice trail! Walked through a decent amount of spiderwebs. Quiet on a Friday morning, and nice views for such a short hike.

Great hike. Lots of uphill. I did the full loop from Jarman Gap parking. Just a warning that there were several snakes (copperheads?) tucked away in a crevice of one of the boulders on the summit. Watch where you sit/place your hands! Lots of flies at the summit as well.

HikingGreat!

Lovely little trail. The last quarter-mile or so is a bit of a rock scramble but the views at the top make up for it. Saw maybe half a dozen people on the trail on a weekday morning; also plenty of deer and birds and insects.

Awesome climbing rocks all over the trails. At the summit. make sure you go further out climbing over the rocks to get to the better view. It looks like a trail with large rocks.

This was a great trail and would recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful view at the end! The paper given by the NPS labels the hike as “easy” but for someone who is a bit out of shape like me, it was more of moderate for sure. To give more context of how out of shape I am, a woman hiked up with a baby on her back and another woman passed us and she hiked over the rocks like she was an earth bender. I have added my trail recording which includes a few minutes of me sitting at the top and enjoying the view which was more than worth it.

Simple trail. Numerous bugs on the way up and quite a few medium spiders at the summit and near the scrambles. Spied a 4-5 foot black and yellow snake about a quarter mile to the summit that gave a bit of a startle. Scrambles are “off-trail” if it’s not your bag. There is a relatively interesting one on the other side of the summit from where you approach. Took about an hour and a half start to finish. This trail clocked in at just about 2.6 miles start to finish. Decent summit view. I’d tack this on to another trail. Also note that you’ll need a Nat’l Parks Pass or to pay the $30 per car entrance fee.

Easy to follow and well cleared. Nice option for a short hike. Great view! Only downfall was some big spiders on the rocks (if you’re afraid of them like me).

Great trail and well maintained. Mostly shaded which was great with the sun and 80° weather today. Gets rocky towards the summit but offers amazing views! Mostly uphill.

This was a great trail but please be smarter than i was :) The 2.5 trail is one way- according to my Apple Watch total was 5.1 miles from beginning to marker and back! But the dogs and I loved it. It was beautiful and the weather yesterday was great!

Great short hike and the summit view is awesome. There are overlooks along the trail that are also great views. The trail is well worn and the summit gives a chance for scrambling over some large boulders. This is a very popular hike and the parking lot gets full.
