This trail is newly rerouted and is about 3 miles if you take the longer loop. About 2.2 miles for the shorter loop. Most of the trail is up and down for a nice hike through the forest. The section along the marsh and Taskinas Creek beyond offers four viewing platforms.

More hills than you'd expect for Southeastern VA. Very muddy in several spots. Wear good shoes. Watch out for snakes on trail.

Liked the hills on this trail, not difficult at all. Can't wait to try other trails at YRSP.

The park did a great job rerouting this trail. You get more of the marsh views and creek.
