We took our almost 3 year old on this hike. He did well but we lifted him over the muddiest spots. Very fun, quick morning hike with plenty of historical bang for your buck. The water was running fast and high due to all the rain. The trail was muddy anywhere that wasn’t bridge or grass and boggy at certain points. I tried to write down my favorite spots along the hike but really the whole thing was great!

A great little trail, perfect for a shorter hike when you're crunch on time. Runs right next to the Bull Run River and is beautiful.

Nice trail that goes along Bull Run stream with amazing bluebells in the spring. One steep hill leads into a more forested section and then back out into a grassy field. Watch for poison ivy by the stream in the summer and ticks in the grassy areas. Heavily used by families, dog walkers and joggers.

Very pleasant, fairly easy trail with some steep sections. Hiked in winter and it was pretty... looks like it would be beautiful in spring, summer and fall.
