Modified last visit to fit this one into a couple of hours. Still a nice workout. Hot by 10 am. Definitely would need the shade now.

Nice trail. Combination of road, wooded trail and open field trails. Stopped at historical markers along the way so it took longer than planned. Added in the Laurel Hill Loop and the Bloody Angle walking tour and ended up at 6.5 miles. Nice hike with lots of flowers and wildlife.

Favorite hike so far in the area. If you walk the full outer trail, you’ll put in a good 5.5 miles. You’ll cover farm land, wooded trails, some roads, dirt trails, and some asphalt trails. You’ll see a lot of Virginia nature and learn a lot of history in the process. Great hike.

Great hike. Mixture of open fields, mature trees, and forest paths. Love the variety. Lots of birds out as well.

Great easy trail with tons of informative signage and historical earthworks. Mostly clearly marked and easy enough to find your way if you miss a turn. Some of the trail follows the main road through the park which is less than ideal but the off road parts are much quieter and well developed trail wise.

Pretty easy trail. Some parts aren’t marked the best so we ended up accidentally cutting out almost a mile.

We walked a nice, easy, three mile loop. Part trail, part road. The Spotsylvania Battlefield is a great place to walk your dog or take children for long walks. This time of year is nice for views because the foliage is not out yet.

very nice Trail. I came to run but decided to walk it and learn it. they have pamphlets and all kinds of information to learn about the area. I've since came and learned it very well and now I like to jog through it often stopping around the bloody angle to sit and meditate. this is a special place and I can feel its past. I gave it five stars because it has a special feel that I don't get from other places.

This feels like much more of a trail than the rest of the battlefields in the area. Nowhere near as much residential property in the area and I saw multiple deer and frogs. Follow clockwise to hit all of the interpretation stations in order.

The trail was a little confusing and not well marked. It also includes a lot of road paths that are again not well marked.

The trail is in great shape. It’s a little bit muddy. Hiking boots over sneakers.

This was a great trail, some moderate hills. The trail was super muddy around some of the bridges, some places were impassible without filling your shoes with water. One of the last bridges was super wobbly, it is one of the only ones that is over an actual crevasse - definitely needs some attention. We had a great time, other than getting unexpectedly muddy!

I enjoyed this one because of the history. Pretty good walk with a side trail that breaks off.

Really nice trail with informative stops along the way. A few areas of the trail were pretty muddy but that is to be expected given the amount of rainfall the past few weeks. All-in-all, I will be back but this time with the kids for a walking history lesson and nature stroll!

I did some of this trail. It's in great shape and has markers in places telling some of the battle there.

More for biking and driving then hiking. Roads seem to have consumed the trails. Crossing brock rd. is very dangerous.

Half is in the road if you are doing the blue trail not well marked for me get turn around once. It was clean and had a lot of history on it but I was going to find a new trail in the wood. I don't think I'm would be going back to hike.

Awesome and easy trail for daily walking. I bring my dog here all the time and he loves it! Multiple short trails so you can decide the length of your visit. Beautiful place year round, I even had professional pictures taken here for me and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary

Serene, pristine, and interesting. My family lives just across the road from this large park, and we visit a couple times a month, no matter the season, because it's always a great spot. There are many trails lengths to choose from, or you can do the whole loop, all are well kept and easy to navigate for the whole family. Deer are seen daily at dusk.
