The trail crosses the Kentucky/Virginia border several times. It was cold and rainy on the day we went but it was worth it.

Nice easy hike in the woods. Good for kids. You can go much further on this trail and others that hook up to it. Fully wooded and shaded.

from the picnic area at the wilderness road campground I hiked up to the Pinnacle Overlook and back. the first mile up the Lewis Hollow is steep. the ridge trail is nice with some ups and downs.

Nice easy to follow trail. Some elevation changes but not bad. Couple beautiful photo spots. I like them at least as much as the Pinnacle Overlook. We went out around 2 miles out and returned the same way.
