Fun trail, well marked but very muddy. Choice of trails indicated by colored blazes. Beautiful view of Potomac from fenced ridge area on Blue. Visited on a nice Sunday, lots of people, dogs and kids. Some cool historic ruins that include an ice house, carriage house and well house. Parking and trail signage is good.

Short little hike in the morning. Several paths to choose here, went blue in the circle and then orange down the middle. Very easy and marked paths with a little up and down.

very pretty! so muddy. accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up by the water. lovely, but the steep muddy trails were rough. will definitely visit again.

Some steep inclines. When we went, very wet. Caution on bridges.

Good, easy trail right in the heart of the suburbs. Easy to access and has a great view. You wouldn’t expect to get so close up to the Potomac in Leesburg. Fun for an afternoon hike, muddy and slick after snow.

The majority of this trail is nice & wide. If you’re bringing a dog, there’s enough room to have the dog sit & give the ppl passing a wide birth. When it does get small, it’s only for short distances. Great for taking a dog. The trail gets kind of confusing near the water, just pay attention to the markings. So far, the best dog walking trail I’ve found w/ this app. Someone said they got lost? Even if you don’t download the added features, the app will still tell you where you are on the map—even if you’re not good w/ a compass, it’s easy to look at the app & figure out how to get back on the trail!

Yo. This trail is not clearly marked. Also sketchy ppl hanging by the water. I got lost and ended up having to climb a steep hill. Thank God I boulder. Got lost at a shooting range. Safe.

There are several trails here. Most overlap each other at times. The longest is the Potomac Heritage Trail (White/Blue). AllTrails lists it as 1.7 miles, but the park map says 1.1 (see pic I attached). The terrain is primarily dirt, but littered with tree roots, which are your biggest obstacle. The only steep areas are near the river. They are short, but can be challenging if wet. Three trees were down across the path today. Trail marking is good in most areas but can get confusing down by the river. Trail is heavily travelled.

Fun and pretty easy with kids and a dog but there were several fallen trees so we had to go off the trail.

Was pretty muddy but overall definitely worth a stroll. At the entrance there’s some historic ruins and a perfect area for a picnic. Also there’s a geocache very near here!!

Easy hike, great views of the Potomac. bald eagle sighting. Very muddy and slick conditions today - but that's a combo of recent rains and cold weather. can't wait to come back when it's drier.
