i want to give it more stars, but i just dunno. we did this trail counter clockwise and after doing that Id recommend going clockwise because the best landscape view will be at a huge camp site near the end of your trip. doing this trail counter clockwise kinda felt like a lot of work with very little payoff. water on the 'right' side can be an issue because there isnt any. and there is too much water on the 'left.' we crossed the draft like 20 times on the way down mostly barefoot. the last crossing before the 1.5 to the lot is above the knee...that was kinda funny. bottom line, prepare yourself physically and mentally for this one. you will get wet, it will be chilly (as in my nose was so cold it woke me several times) overnight on the higher portions of the trail (unless its dead summer), and it is tough in some spots going up and down continuously. If you want lots of views of rolling hills Id pick another spot. if you want a challenge and like to frolic in the stream, go here. lol
