Prospectors' Trail is a 3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Haysi, Virginia that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. This is a great but challenging trail. Pretty steep rocky slopes, but very fun for two 70 yr old women. Signs make it sound impossible, but the best way to start is at Shelter 2.

Not a bad hike. It has a lot of rocky areas so be prepared to slow your pace in some areas.

Nice stroll through the woods. The park could really use better markings for trails. Personally, more maps would have helped me. We stayed with the markers as best possible, but ended up walking back on the road.
