Prospectors' Trail is a 3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Haysi, Virginia that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. Directions from Haysi, VA: Breaks Interstate Park is 7 miles east of Elkhorn City, Kentucky and 8 miles north of Haysi, Virginia on Rt. 80. Detailed trail maps are available at park office.

Not a bad hike. It has a lot of rocky areas so be prepared to slow your pace in some areas.

Nice stroll through the woods. The park could really use better markings for trails. Personally, more maps would have helped me. We stayed with the markers as best possible, but ended up walking back on the road.

Great short trail. Some good places for a little climbing. We did this, the Prospector's Trail, Overlook Trails, and the Laurel Branch Trail in one day easily.

Very Nice Trail. Trail can be narrow in some places and rocky in most of it!!
