Powell's Creek Nature Trail is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Woodbridge, Virginia that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This is an easy, short nature interpretive trail set up to educate the public on watersheds. The park has provided guide books for borrow at the trailhead that lead you through the stops along the way.
Made a nice loop with Bushy point Trail. The day was perfect for hiking.
Woods, water, history and watershed. This trail is more into education and less into history. I combined it with Bushy Point Trail for a nice loop.
Nice leisurely walk through the woods along the Potomac
