Piratebush Loop Trail is a 1.1 mile loop trail located near Roanoke, Virginia that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Overall a nice little quiet trail! Not too steep and a good place to bring the kids or the dog! I’ll definitely be back.
One of the best running trails around if you like difficult trails!
Loved this trail! Great hike for our family, our two boys (ages 9 & 5) had no trouble navigating the smaller Red Loop trail. We also hiked out to the overlook on the longer Blue Loop trail, and although it was definitely more challenging for the boys they were able to do it and we were rewarded with some awesome views! I highly recommend tackling this mountain trail. The only downside is that the parking area is relatively small and tight so arriving sometime in the morning is the safest bet especially if you’re planning this hike on a weekend!
