This is one of my favorite trails. Right now, trail is very snowy and where it isn't snowy is solid ice! Bring poles and snow spikes.
AT to blue line to yellow back to AT. Beautiful trail along ridge
Great views, rugged landscape but not difficult to traverse. My dog Borr loved it.
Lots of different scenery and beautiful lots Awesome trail! one of my favorite hikes I’ve ever done.
It was great! Beautiful weather. We couldn’t find parking at the trailhead so parked down Skyline Drive a bit and added another mile to the hike. It was almost like 3-4 hikes in one with the different trail types, terrain and scenery. A bit crowded but not enough to bother. Definitely would recommend.
Wanted to hike the loop clockwise and started from the correct side of the parking lot but kept right too soon and ended up back on the counterclockwise route. Later missed the left turn leading away from the skyway Stoney man parking lot because the highlighted route on the map didn’t actually match the trail. Beautiful views and lovely greenery, not too rocky
Nice hike, but I’d call it moderate. The overlook is beautiful. Hike is mostly shaded. The end is unimpressive but you can join up to another trail for the way back.
