Off the end of Volvo Parkway take Bryon Street and you are there.
Scenic path around the lake. Heavily used, and you won’t get away from the road noise. However, if you’re looking for something quick, accessible and local to get outdoors for a bit, it’s a good walk.

Love this trail. Only problem is large groups of student athletes run at fast pace, which can be a bit dangerous. Otherwise awesome.
Well kept, short trail. Not much elevation change, probably would be very boring for experienced mountain bikers. Nice views of the lake. Two offshoot trails that were less well kept, but offered slightly more in the way of trail biking than the main trail. Overall, probably more of a walking trail but a nice experience.
Nice little simple walk

Thoroughly enjoyed this; flat, shaded and interesting.
Beautiful! Nice family oriented place. Very diverse and open atmosphere.
I love this park! I will definitely be coming back with my dogs.
Had a great run here. A little busy but it was a nice day. Lots of gnats that I caught in my mouth. Overall a beautiful trail and a great run!
Nice walking trail
Very easy
good walking for cardio.
Nice scenic walk around the lake. Lots of dogs.
Easy walk around the lake. Busy! lots of dogs. 1.5 miles marked around. lots of covered picnic apots. biggest downsides were 1. Parking lot was really small and 2. a decent stretch is right along a busy highway. still a nice place to walk
really nice, super easy walking trial. Good place to just take an hour out of your day and get some nature in. Part of the trial is literally right net to the highway... but it is still a nice walk even with the couple of minutes of city noise.
I like to go here in the evenings as the sunset is beautiful on the water. Small park for kiddos after doing the loop. Sits right next to the interstate so a bit noisy on one side but nice nonetheless. Great for a nice run/ walk.
Was fun.
Very nice walking trail around the lake. Very clean and well maintained. Good for strollers and bikes.
Great park just have to watch out for copperheads.
this is a very nice clean and friendly trail. nice well kept gravel trail 1.5 miles that's mostly in the shade with plenty of places to stop and have a picnic under covered picnic tables and very nice decks over the water to go fishing from. Also a few benches around the lake to just sit and relax. they also have exercise stations along the trail and a play area for kids, it is truly a lovely place.
This is a very nice, easy trail with several fitness stop. It's built around a large lake. A lot of people walk their dogs here and it tends to get very crowded so parking can be difficult.
Perfect for a quick walk, especially with pup or stroller!
Oak Grove Lake Park is a great family and dog friendly park. It has a trail that loops completely around the lake. There are several decks with safety rails along the lake. You can definitely stop and sit on benches at each deck to look at the beautiful water. There are also a few picnic tables at the entry side. The trail gets muddy very easily on the far side of the lake when it rains. Wear rain boots or aqua shoes if there has been any precipitation in the last 2 weeks.
Great family park. The trail around the lake is great for running walking or biking.
The Park does get crowded on weekend.
I enjoy the wide trail with shade 2/3 of the way around the lake. On a hot day, you turn left to stay in the shade and turn around when you hit the end of the shade. This is a total of 2 miles round trip from the parking lot. There is usually people around most of the time.
Nice trail - wide smooth path. Most of trail around
lake nice except for short portion near highway. Crowded on Sunday in November.
Beautiful, shady, and spacious trails. Great scenery of the lake. Several posts that instruct you to do activities such as jumping jacks and pull up. Areas for picnic and playgrounds.
It's a really nice trail ... the only thing I don't like is ... I can see the highway from the trail ... Don't like that ... but it's a nice walking or riding the bike trail ... a big circle pretty much. Very easy but a nice family walking park especially for younger ones
Really nice and laid back for anyone who doesn't run... Hidden gem never heard about till I got this app. Thanks
This is a beautiful trail around a beautiful lake. The trail is smooth and I believe it is accessable all the way around. There are picinic areas, fishing platforms and viewpoints. The loop trail around the lake is 1.5 miles but add in the connector trail to the parking lot and you will do at least 1.75.
Well maintained and nice city park. Even when it is crowded, the natural beauty of the natural suroundings take you back to Waldon Pond. We thought the rain was over but ended up getting caught for the second time today. It was still nice.
