Lots of water access..lots of tree shade in late spring/early summer..fun hike, a bit on the easy side for us, there are some up and down slopes, not too strenuous..beautiful lake with running stream! Great time! Would recommend. (FYI the fishing bank trail was a bit muddy and narrow in spots)

So romantic at around 9am. Very quiet and peaceful and not at all very crowded. The trails were actually pretty easy with a few steep hills. They are marked very well by color. The property also has many areas to sit and enjoy nature, it seems prefect for bird watchers.

I do nature programming at Mott's Run Reservoir so am familiar with the area. I also love hiking out there and do so regularly. The trails (4.5 miles) offer a nice variety of uphill and flatter areas with lovely views of the lake with wooden benches scattered throughout. It is generally a pretty quiet place but can occasionally get busy on weekends or holidays. While the park is open to the public only April 1-October 31 folks may park outside the gate as long as they DO NOT block it and walk in.
