It was a fairly easy hike on the mountain and only had a few up and down parts.
Trial was in great shape, nice and dry. Only a few wet spots despite all the rain lately.
be sure to pick up your feet as there's many rocks and roots to trip you.
Right by Liberty University so expect student and faculty runners on the trail. About 0.3 miles goes along a road, just into the treeline, with heavy traffic noise. But, there are LOTS of trails connected to this loop so making a hike of whatever length you want is easy!
Just a short trail. Well marked and easy. Trying to break in some new boots, added a second lap.
Quick easy 1 mile loop with no big elevation changes. Some stumps rock trips make it a tough trail to run. Watch your step. Saw no one on trail on a Saturday beautiful afternoon. No views, creeks, waterfalls or interesting features but lots of solitude earns it a 4 star.
