Great trail, true to it’s rating....moderate. Lots of rocks to navigate in the pathway, but easily navigated as long as you pay attention to your footing. The trail is steep with only about 2 spots that level out for about 6’. 1210’ to the summit!Beautiful views and lots of foliage to admire. The view at the top is incredible and a great place to have lunch.

This trail is a pretty steep incline all the way up but it’s not too long and the view is worth it! The peak is very peaceful and I could spend hours up there just staring at the mountains! Great if you want to get a quick workout in and don’t have all day!

Just Awesome! Foggy morning but Mary showed her true beauty at the top. The valley was covered by the fog below and watching this at the top was just spectacular. Go early to avoid crowds. You will walk up 1250ft for one hour, enjoy Mary's beauty for 15 minutes at the top, and walk back down for 45 minutes.

Hiked this with my 2 year old dog. When the weather is warm expect a lot of bugs! The trail is all up hill to begin, with a lot of rocks. The view at the summit is very nice. Bring bug spray

Glad to say this trail head is still open. Gorgeous views at several spots. Summit is extraordinarily windy on a windy day. Sun hits along most of the trail in the morning. Takes only about an hour to get to the summit at an average pace.

Completed this trail today, seems to be one of the few still open to the public. This hike is everything I could have hoped for and more. It was pretty much all incline with beautiful views of the blue ridge along the way. The summit is definitely the best part and well worth the climb.

Nice climb after visiting Dark Hollow Falls. Great view from the top.

Gorgeous views and worth the all incline hike up to the top. Finished this hike with 2 kids, 6 and 10, and due to our hiking experience, had no issues. Great winter hike.

Went over MLK. Icey in patches so please wear appropriate foot attire. The new up top is great but W I N D Y!!!! I could only enjoy it for a few minutes. Felt the wind burn for a few hours after. I would come again to experience it in different weather.

Great trail. It was a little rocky but that's just how most trails are in this area. Took an hour at an easy pace to reach the top with multiple breaks to soak in views. View at the top is 10/10. Thank you to the person who found and returned my cheapo sunglasses. They were appreciated on the drive home. I highly suggest this hike. Was not busy at all today. Will do this again in the summer when everything is green.

Great views from the top! Moderate climb for me. Took about an hour for me to reach the summit with a couple of stops to enjoy the view. A bit rocky, there was lingering snow on the trail but it made it even more beautiful! 1.8 miles to the summit.

Had to deviate from my original sunrise hike (Stony Man) due to park closures because of road conditions from the freezing rain they received the night before. Mary’s Rock has some amazing views though and really could not have asked for a better sunrise. Would be a great hike for sunset as well! 360° views from the top of you’re willing to climb up a few rocks at the summit. 100% recommend. Took me about 40 minutes to get to the top moving at a pretty good pace.
