This was absolutely amazing. A pretty easy hike up to the lower falls. It does get a little rocky at points but perfectly manageable by all. We had an amazing time. The lower falls are beautiful and there are many areas for swimming.

We hiked the lower section, about 2 miles in and then two miles back. Kids had a blast playing in the pools along the way. Heavily hiked but more than enough room on the trails. Definitely one of my favorites

The parking is NOW OPEN! The note on the app description is out of date. - March 2020 This is a great hike with stunning views of the lower falls. If you only go in and out, kids can do it too - our four year old had a great time. The long loop is beautiful but quite challenging.

Great Hike!

Lots of fun a great hike and nice waterfalls

Parking lot has reopened. Hike was 3.5 miles not 2.8. App stated I had completed the hike long before I got to the falls.

This trail is closed due to bridge being built. There is no parking and game wardens are checking for trespassers.

Hard hike. This hike is almost a constant uphill climb for about 8 miles. Almost the entire trail is covered on rocks and there are a LOT of steps. The views were spectacular and it wasn’t crowded. This hike kicked our butts. It was well worth the effort though

Great and easy combination of uphill and downhill in both directions. Went to the first waterfall (~1.4 miles) and then came back. It was a weekday and saw a few people along the way and in the waterfall. At the waterfall, nice cold water with a series of pools — although everyone basically went in the main pool with the waterfall. We did a slow pace and finished in about three hours — 1:15 to, one hour at the waterfall, and 0:45 back.

Did this hike yesterday with the husband and Doggo. Dog is 7 months old and was able to do just the 3 mile in and back with breaks for swimming. Was very busy for a Monday, with a lot of kids and teenagers on the trail, so it wasn't quiet, but for summer in mid-July that is to be expected. Made for more of a community feel, and folks were friendly and Doggo got lots of pets. Loved the hike, and look forward to going back when it's a little quieter.

Do the loop by cutting across on the fire road, then down Cedar Run. Clockwise gets less miles up than down. On top we saw a bear one time and deer the next. Plenty of falls and swimming holes and one rock slide 1/2 way on Cedar. Takes 6 hours if you take in the sites along with removing shoes for swimming.

good hike and sweet views of waterfalls, but not great distant scenic type views..also very busy. but you can swim in the waterfalls and jump off a few rocks into the water. I recommend it once but I wouldn't come back without doing the cedar run loop too

Great trail that follows a winding river filled with several waterfalls and water holes. Great on a hot sunny day the trail is well groomed and parking is easy.

Took my 8 and 10 year old daughters up for a swim. The trailhead was packed and luckily we grabbed a spot without having to pay the neighbors. Easy hike up to the lower falls and swimming holes. The girls enjoyed playing in the water. Of course it was beautiful day and the area was crowded. We saw a Timber Rattler along the way and waited as it crossed the trail. If you are looking for solitude definitely not your trail. If you are looking for an easy trip and swimming definitely worth a trip just come early.

Excellent trail. Did it during the heavy rain of summer 2018 and the currents were fast and the water levels were high. One of my favorite hikes. Not too difficult, beautiful water falls, and lucky for us wasn't busy at all. Will always suggest this trail!

Excellent trail! Note that the hike to/from the waterfall that equals a little less than 4 miles is very appropriate for most ages. Completing the loop entirely proved to be difficult for my 7 and 9 yr old. Their favorite part, of course, was the waterfall. For adults, the entire loop is highly recommended and a fantastic workout. Enjoy!
