Some nice views and wild life. This time of year (late May, but I'm sure other months) there are a lot of tics, check your pets and yourself carefully!

Cows, wild flowers, beautiful scenery throughout the hike.

Trail is shaded once you get on the Lost Mountain Loop. Beautiful and quiet, no real overlook though. We got there around 9:30 on 5/23. Didn’t see anyone until the last mile. Parking lot was full by the time we got back.

Nice trail, well marked. A bit of elevation in the woods, but nothing extraordinary. Two small creek crossings. Many bird houses in the meadow portion of the loop. Two drawbacks: no real view at the top and persistent traffic noise, even in the woods.

very scenic open trail with moderate hills and rock.

Nice easy trail. Uphill in the beginning but it gets your legs going. Wildflowers everywhere. Great pics of surrounding area farmland

Good piece of exercise. Did not get a scenic view of mountain. Nice view of valley. $10/parking seems high

Great little trail for leisurely walk half in open field and other half under the trees. Some areas were a little overgrown, but still walkable. This is first hike I did come out of woods with a couple of ticks (female lone star) on my pant legs and backpack. We saw lots of beautiful butterflies. I liked the bench to sit and take in the view, looking forward to going back in fall. Unless I read sign wrong, $10 for weekend parking seemed high.

About half of this trail is exposed and the other half is under tree cover. Went last week (June 2019) and the upper portion was closed for renovations & did not seem to be re-opening any time soon. Fairly empty trail- only saw a handful of other hikers.

About 1/2 the trail is in the open, the other 1/2 is in the trees. There are a couple of parts that are steep, but not too bad. Lots of flowers and trees with cows thrown in for good measure. Nice bench about 1/2 way point that gives a nice view of the valley.

Don't let all the positive reviews fool you - this is a legitimate mountain, and steep in a few places. Also there are several spots where you'll need to wade through a stream - no bridges. But it is beautiful and not too crowded. Definitely a gem! :)

Would rank as easy in the meadow portion. Only becomes moderate if you do the Lost Mountain portion of the trail but you can skip that if you want. Meadows are beautiful rolling hills with great scenery. Keep in mind no shade in summer. Lost Mountain trail is in the woods. Two small creeks to cross but can cross on rocks if desired. Great hike with dogs. Very wide trails as shared with horseback riders. Trails well marked. Honor system payment in cash at entrance. They WILL ticket. Overall really liked it and would definitely go again.

I really enjoyed this hike, it’s a great one to do with dogs! No it is not a rigorous hike in the mountains but it is still a good one and I liked the change of pace/scenery. The area is so pretty, the green rolling valley and lots of butterfly’s. The trail was very clearly marked and well defined. Can’t wait to explore more of the trails in the park.

I didn't like this hike very much. We went clockwise. The first part is thru a pasture leading to the woods. The day we hiked it, it was pretty muddy in parts. Not all that much to see. If you are looking for an easy hike for some exercise it is OK.

Very enjoyable hike with a light coating of snow made it so pretty. You could see the surrounding area through the trees. Only saw 1 other couple with their dog. Our dogs loved the freedom of running the trail.

The park keys this loop as difficult. Maybe it was the humidity, but I’d rate this loop on the strenuous side of moderate. Great hike though, well marked, beautiful scenery!

Beautiful trail. All the trails in Sky Meadows are marked clearly . The grass in the meadow areas is fairly tall so be sure to do thorough tick checks . I'd say the meadow is obviously easy but once you hit the wooded part of the trail it certainly upgrades to a moderate trail. All in all I did this with my 4 year old son and (aside from whining he was tired during the moderate incline up the mountain lol) he was able to complete it well. You will cross 2 streams ,so be prepared to get a little wet in the feet
