A simple, quiet trail that goes through a residential area. it's a nice, safe area to walk.

Great trail mostly paved wide enough to walk by people without bumping elbows. Cool tunnel under the road and a beautiful lake to walk around.

A beautiful day! Pretty crowded but people were getting outside while social distancing so I understand why.

Easy trail & fun with young kids

Very nice short walk. Pathway is paved and pleasant. The only down side was all the dog fecal matter everywhere. People don't seem to be curtious enough to pick up after their pets.

Trail access can be done on either side of Woolridge Ave. When using the east side parking instead of crossing the Woolridge from the east side parking lot, I recommend using the tunnel. The tunnel access is not marked from the east side but can be seen from the west side of Woolridge as you round the lake. You can better create a loop to utilizing the entire path going in and out of the tunnel like a figure 8 without crossing Woolridge, which can be very busy at times.

One of the best places we’ve been to in the area-great scenery, large paths and history as well!

With the mix of scenery of the lake and the trail through the trees, this trail was a pleasant surprise. There is not too much elevation change. My four old enjoyed it as well.

My fiance, my dog and I love this trail. There are several ways to extend or shorten the distance. we regularly walk 2.3 miles but on days when I've been to the Y, a shorter loop is available. Part of the trail is in the woods and flat; the half mile loop around the lake is more exposed and more rolling. I recommend for all levels. ,

This is a very nice walk through the woods! it loops back around to the road, no matter which way you go. Children are playing alone, people are saying hi to each other as they pass, dogs are happy and playful, such a noce trail. The mine house at the end in the woods is the best part!

Good for walking, not really a hike at all. Dog friendly, but a leash is needed. Interesting history of the local coal mines.

If you like learning about the history of the area while hiking a pretty, shaded trail, it's a great short hike.
