The Kitchen Rock Trail forms a loop that traverses a low ridgeline above Bark Camp Lake in the Jefferson National Forest. The highlight of this trail is Kitchen Rock itself, a large sandstone outcropping that has an eroded, cavelike opening at its base. In addition to the trail's geology, the loop provides a great overview of forest types typical of the southwest Virginia mountains.

Decent little trail with a lot of scenery, with a cave along the way. I wouldn't go hours out of my way for to do this trail. But maybe if in area swing by & check it out.
