Kitchen Rock Trail is a 0.6 mile loop trail located near Coeburn, Virginia that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and birding.
The Kitchen Rock Trail forms a loop that traverses a low ridgeline above Bark Camp Lake in the Jefferson National Forest. The highlight of this trail is Kitchen Rock itself, a large sandstone outcropping that has an eroded, cavelike opening at its base. In addition to the trail's geology, the loop provides a great overview of forest types typical of the southwest Virginia mountains.
