Interior Ditch Trail is a 3.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Suffolk, Virginia that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, mountain biking, and scenic driving and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Another hot day but at least there is more variety on these trails.
One of only three trails in the park that allow motor vehicles. The three trails join together to travel to Lake Drummond. By the time you drive the 12 mile round trip you may be glad that you didn't walk. This is the final trail into the lake. You leave the wooded swamp behind and pass through open swamp to the lake. There is a small parking lot, a pier and a boat launch at the lake. There were no boats on the lake today so it made for a peaceful and lovely climax to the journey.
