A great trail for a quick hike nice rock formations. If you add in the Chestnut Ridge Trail it will make about a 1 mile loop self guided hike and bring you back to the parking lot. It has numbered post at specific locations on the trail you will need to stop by the Visitors Center and pick up the trail guide so you will know what the marker is related to. Nice hike. Kind of a moderate trail if you do the loop with slick rocks and ground when wet. Make sure to watch out for the sting needles on one section of trail.

This is the first hike we did with out son (4 months old), and we all loved it. It is short and not very difficult, but there are so many beautiful, and interesting things to look at. Don't forget to bring your paper that describes the hike as the different geological formations are numbered and can be matched to descriptions. Unfortunately, we forgot our paper, so we'll have to go again some time.
