A great family trail. Not much by way of views but you see the family cemetery and the walk has just enough incline to be interesting but not so much to be daunting. Families with dogs make this loop all the time.

The walk through the woods was peaceful. The kids enjoyed looking for the various items that the visitor center provided. All in all, decent trail and nice start to Shenandoah.

A short and easy loop past some historical ruins, and a family's cemetery. Interpretive brochures are available at the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center, MP 4.6 on Skyline Drive. Blue blazes mark the trail. Restroom are available at the Visitor Center.

Decent trail for a quick family hike at the north end of the park. Very doable for 4-year-old legs. Forested the whole way, so it doesn't offer views of the valley, but the forest itself is scenic and pleasant.

Quick loop that will kick your glutes in gear with the incline that "doesn't stop!" Kidding! Not bad, just some uphill that keeps you working to close the loop!

Very pretty loop trail that passes through an old family graveyard.

Pretty easy hike. Did this after doing the Dickey Ridge/Snead Farm. Cool cemetery area.
