This was a good trail, I enjoyed it. However, the trail is about 3.5 miles long and I found it difficult to follow on the way back to my car. I looked at the map and thought it was simple, I was mistaken. I ended up walking on another trail to get back onto the trail outlined here. It all worked out but I found the trail easier to read going out than coming back. It was not marked very well on the way out. All that being said, it’s a nice shady trail for summer and I did enjoy it.

Nice walk through some pretty woods. It would have been a whole lot nicer if you couldn’t hear the road noise from 28 the whole time. Also, this loop is NOT 2.8 miles, it’s easily 3.25 miles according to our GPS.

Great trail and healthy forest. Saw deer & caught crawfish, but annoying construction on 28

Great Trail for those that live close by to get 2+ miles on on a nice Hike when you can find the time. Great for young kids and dogs too.

The drive to the park is easy/safe. Plenty of parking at the visitors center (kids classes too). Beautiful walk along the stream. Lush. Trails not well marked. I tried this route: I crossed 4 bridges to get from the trail head to the visitors center (only 5 individual stair-steps total) . 12 minutes each way. Will probably come back a lot. No biking allowed.

Very beautiful trail perfect for running! You’re surrounded by trees so you feel peaceful and alone, but you’re right next to the main road so you feel safe. Love it!

The eastern part of the north loop has finally been reopened. Many spring flowers out. Trail is on great shape.

The park is a pretty, pleasant escape from the urban environment that surrounds it, but be prepared for lots of noise from air traffic since you’re next door to Dulles. That being said, it is still a decent opportunity for local birding. The trails are easy and would be good for small children or walking dogs, but I agree with other users that trail heads could be marked more clearly and the park map updated.

Nice geese pond & easy trails. Lovely spot for the weekend! Cons, trails marks are confusing.. without a live track, bit of confusing

Good spot for weekday a.m. running. Trail could be a little better marked on the north loop.

What used to be an oasis in the area is now becoming abused by visitors. Bike riding is prohibited but people are ignoring the signs and the rules as well as leaving trash along the trails, including a growing number of cigarette butts- disgusting! I'd like to see park rangers/authority out there enforcing the rules to keep this beautiful location from becoming trashy and abused for the rest of us.

Great for families. Love the nature center & various little “exhibits”. It can be crowded on weekends as the trail is easily accessible to a large neighborhood, but the trail is wide and very well maintained so it’s not too bad even when crowded. A great opportunity to see local wildlife too, as many deer, turtle, and various birds are always near the pond or in the meadow area.

This is a sweet little hidden gem, although as busy as it was on a Sunday morning, it may have better suited hours if quiet is what you are looking for.

Heavily used in the spring, summer and fall. Very well maintained. Easy loop walk with longer trails to the Nature Center. Well shaded in the summer. Nice to find such a pretty park so close to a developed area.

Poorly marked. Poorly made map. I love aviation, but when you go hiking and want some peace and quiet, planes overhead every few minutes gets pretty annoying. Not much to see. The history was nice, but not much of it. Need to mow and clean up a little more around the historical sites. Need to replace the history signs. Most are not readable. The pond was nice.
