Great trail, the waterfalls (especially the second one) can be a little tricky to access so you’ll definitely want your good hiking shoes. Uphill all the way back out so excellent for cardio and there’s an overlook maybe 200ft from the parking lot for the perfect post-hike view. Side note: This may be a seasonal attribute, but the rocks and trees near the water were absolutely COATED in millipedes I don’t recall seeing in March. So if you have a bug-sensitive hiking buddy you might want to consider another trail.

Modified trail for second visit went along AT from jones run parking to Doyles River trail. Then down into the hollow and back out Jones run. It was pretty and added some length. Falls were running. A little too crowded. But good shade and good hike. Not a lot of views other than the Doyle’s river overlook and the falls themselves. Patches were petty wide. A solid 8.5 miler.

A few decent waterfalls, very buggy. Head net saved me on this one :) The return trip back up from the falls is pretty steep.

Definitely a down and back up moderate trail! We hiked down to the lower falls and it was totally worth it! It was a slow go on the way back up, it’s a steady climb back to the parking lot. We arrived at the trailhead around 11, parking lot was half full and the trail itself was not too busy, we saw about 15 people.

Easy ‘down ‘n up’ falls hike. Plenty of parking on a weekday. Wear proper hiking shoes to be safe. Good view/sights for the effort - lots of bag worms all over rocks all the way from top to bottom of trail.

Great hike, added 2 miles by starting at MM 83 and took AP to the MM 81, then headed south on the Doyle’s River Trail to Jones River Trail. Lots of water falls but not much volume of water. Would be exciting to see them if the rivers were flowing. Hike is popular, many hikers out today; was challenging to social distance in places. I did clock wise which was easier for my age. Enjoy!

Nice little half day hike. Moderately crowded trail but we were fortunate to have only a couple other people at each of the falls. Easy descent past a small cascade and two really beautiful waterfalls. Plenty of areas to scramble around the bottoms of the falls and wade in if you want to cool off. Ascent is a moderately challenging hike, not too bad and the trail is fully shaded.

great trail! got there early at 7am on a saturday and had the trail to myself. i completed the loop with Jones run and the AT. at the road i lost the AT and ended up on the fire road. this puts you near the bottom of the ascent back up Doyle’s river trail (was not expecting that).

Absolutely beautiful! With the help of my sister we were able to get my two children (5 and 9) down to the 2nd big waterfall where they could stay and play in the water for a while. The hike back up was a little difficult but nothing like other trails I’ve done. There is one tiny waterfall before the main two that is a nice little lunch stop. Highly recommend!

Arrived early (about 9am on a Saturday) with my 3 boys (17, 13, & 9). Great hike down. We only went to the upper falls. The hike back was a bit difficult after being stuck inside for several months. My own health issues (asthma & gastroparesis) didn’t help me much with that. But excellent spots to stop and rest. The cold water was super refreshing and helpful as well. When we made it back to the parking lot, around noon, it was PACKED. Highly recommend early hike!

This was a great in and out hike with my pup. Trickling water sounds follow most of the way down. Nice and breezy and moderately trafficked. We only made it to the upper falls but it was lovely. Difficult coming back up, but worth it.

beautiful waterfalls! pretty challenging as it is steep the whole way down and that's how you get back up - but so worth it!! opportunities to get close to the falls if you want, just be careful and watch for slippery rock. also, we were at the bottom at around 3:30 on a Thursday and had the falls to ourselves which was awesome!

Really nice hike. It's downhill on the way to the waterfall and pretty steep. There are 2 waterfalls, the 2nd one is about a 1/2 a mile down from the 1st one.

Great views and beautiful hike. After 3.3 miles of downhill hiking you reach the waterfalls. Waterfalls can get a little crowded. The hike back up is steep. Great overall.

Great shaded trail to a number of waterfalls. It rained quite a bit last night so it was muddy, but still a great hike! Didn’t see any wildlife other than birds today.

This was an amazing trail! The way to the falls (out) is all gradual downhill, so the way back is all uphill, would consider it a moderate difficulty. The falls is beautiful and shallow. The trail has upkept blazes and the path is not rocky and would be great if you like trail running. Our Jack Russel did this trail and loved jumping in the water at the falls!

I love this trail, 3 beautiful waterfalls. Only issue was parking; I was there at 10am today and Parking lot was already full. I was lucky that someone left right way.

My husband (70) and I (68) hiked this beautiful trail yesterday. On a difficulty scale of 1-5, we would rate it a 2. Other reviewers mention the uphill-all-the-way return as being arduous, but we didn't find it so. I estimate the incline to be around 10 degrees. It took us 3 hours to complete the out-and-back hike. The Lower Falls is the big payback at the bottom of the trail. Just fantastic.

This place was magical today. My husband and I went this morning and did the 3.3 mile hike, started at 10 am and got back to the car 12:30ish. It was nice weather and the fog made it more even better. I would like to go back and do the 7 mile hike.
