Great trail for waterfalls. We took the kids 7, 10, 12 and it was fun on the way down, it has a lot of shade and a mountain spring if you’re running low on water on the way back up. We took our time on the way back up which was a little tough but once at the car they all said it was a lot of fun.

Well groomed trail that goes down and is a doozy coming back up. This was my second hike for the day so my legs were pretty cooked on the return. Nice waterfalls and stream.

feels like a slow fall on the way down so you know it will be tough on the way back up! gorgeous hike

all downhill to the falls and then straight uphill on the way back which is a kicker! the falls are nice to dip your feet in or wade a bit.

BEAUTIFUL WATERFALLS...holy cow was the last 450 yards back to the jeep a dozy!

There are three beautiful waterfalls on this trail. We didn't hike the full distance, but we made it to the lower falls. Definitely worth the hike, but I am surprised this is rated moderate and not hard. We had to make several stops on the return hike since it's strenuous and steep at times.

Absolutely loved this hike even if it was 100% uphill on the way back. It was totally worth it for two big waterfalls. But utilize the spring on the way back up to cool you down if you do this in warm weather. It felt amazing after feeling like I was going to overheat with the sun beating down on me.

Loved this hike. Lots of water over the falls due to the recent rain. This is a great hike if you want to do an overnight in the back country. There is some flat ground near where the Doyles Stream and James Stream meet. If you like to fish...bring your fly rod and license. This is a harvest stream over 9". I saw several trout in the deep pools that were close to the 9" mark.

Beautiful after Labor Day hike, we started at the forest road out to Doyle's River and the around to Jones Run for a complete loop.

This trail is all downhill one way to get to the falls, which obviously means it’s all uphill on the way back. The trail itself is wide and easily traversable, and the falls make the hike worth it. For those with kids, remember that the trip back up the trail is much more strenuous than the way down. My five year-old, an “easy” hike veteran, had difficulty in the way back up this trail and I had to give her a ride on my shoulders for most of the way back up. Great trail though, with beautiful scenery and awesome falls to view and play in.

Beautiful waterfall hike in early May. Lots of water running over falls. Be prepared for a steady uphill climb on the return. Hiking poles recommended! Hiked on a hot day temps in mid 80’s with very little shade or breeze as the leaves hadn’tcome out yet. Very buggy. Wear bug spray !!!

Fantastic downhills walk to the falls. There is a good amount of spring run off and they are beautiful in the fall. It's a hike coming back, gives a good heart pumping.

Great hike today.

Nice trail, some great rock formations. It is August and the waterfalls were just a trickle. I have never used a hiking stick before but there were a number of them laying around at the trailhead so I grabbed one and it really helped on the hike out.

Short, and strenuous on the way out. Great conditioning! Good waterfalls and not a lot of depth for swimming.

Both the upper and lower falls are beautiful. the hike down is very easy and quick but the hike back up was moderately difficult. The trail was hot because of the lack of shade and it is definitely not an easy walk through the woods but the falls are worth the hike for sure

My dog loved this one.

The parking lot for it is just down past the picnic and restroom area so that's a great stop before you start out. ^.~ the trail was really nice and well marked. You walk for a bit on the fire road but it's still quite lovely.

It was a great hike, the way back up was tough but it was so worth it, especially for what a GORGEOUS Sunday in February!!! Will definitely be back when everything is in bloom!!!
