A longer version of the Blue Trail, and you have to hike part of the Blue Trail to reach the While Trail. Excellent examples of trenches used during Civil War Battle of Richmond. You see many of the same things on the tour road.

My husband and I live right around the corner from here so we take all three of are dogs walking there at least once a week. It’s a wonderful historic battlefield with a few different options or trails depending on how long you want to spend.

This is a beautiful hike without all the city noise and parking issues. Trail is well marked and if you add the extended loop and the yellow diamond it's closer to 4 miles. Good restrooms and water available too. Also a paved trail option if you prefer. My dog loves it. Support our National Parks.

Loved the trail and the history along the way. Easy walk through the woods. There are several loops. I did about 2 miles.

Did the extended loop. Seemed like kind of a maze, with the trail and the road intersecting so much but that was kind of fun actually. Just 20 minutes out of Richmond, I learned a lot about the battle that happened here and got to enjoy an easy and quiet trail.

I did the extended loop (white) to the yellow loop and back to white...it is 3.0 exactly if you start at parking lot and finish there. The trenches are eerie but beautiful. I walk a little faster when walking through a few. Slight hills but a very clear and marked path. Dog friendly too!

As it was such a beautiful fall day we walked the outer loop trail and covered 2.7 miles using MapMyWalk app. The breastworks are impressive. The trail was a nice mix of woods walking and walking on the hard surfaced road.

nice trails....2 to choose from...the primary trail that is about 1 mile but then there is a nice extended loop that makes it a bit more challenging and close to 2 miles. Well marked trail and usually a couple people also on the loops.

Ran this as a half marathon. Historic relics throughout the trail. My family biked along next to me, so biking is also doable.

This was an easy trail, and taking the extended loop made for a very enjoyable walk. Great for a casual stroll, jog, or taking the dog for a walk. The historic aspects also helped entertain your imagination while thinking back to the battlefield era.
