Secluded! Clearly marked! I’m creeped out that this is a Civil War BATTLEFIELD. Ironic that I got cut and bled on this trail.

I thought this was a pleasant hike and enjoyed reading the plaques along the trail about the Battle of Cold Harbor. The trail was well-marked and had some hills.

Perfect trail for level hike, exercise and a history lesson! Great for young kids (we had 5&6 year olds).

Very well marked and maintained trails through significant historical earthworks. Not much traffic - relatively easy hike with a couple of stretches of moderate elevation. Lots of roots so be careful trail runners and mountain bikers. I will be returning here for sure.

First hike of the season. Finally a day warm enough to get outside. Matt, Cooper, Carly and me.

Very pleasant and well-signed trail. A few interpretive signs along the way. I wish the visitor center was open when I went so I could get a little more historical context. The western trail is slightly less well-signed than the other loops.

Explored this trail last weekend. It's nice - as mentioned it's a historical monument as much as a trail, so there's a lot of really cool history and signs and such to see. As a trail, it's clean, well maintained, and a decent length. The folks I bumped into on the trail were very nice, as well.

The newest and longest trail at Richmond National Battlefield Park. Excellent examples of trenches used during Civil War Battle of Richmond. Also passes a couple of wetland areas. This is the hike to do at Cold Harbor if you have the time and energy.

What a nice place. There’s a lot of history here and there are educational signs along the trail. The trail is well marked and cleared. No worries about tripping on roots here. Most of the trail is in the woods and shaded which is nice when it’s hot out. Would highly recommend. My pups loved it.

Had an amazing time and walked 5 miles. Multiple trails... quiet and full of nature. Deer and open fields. They are amazing about clearing the trails and are set up for every type of hiker.

nice easy nature trail with Civil War history. The fall colors are beautiful. The trail is marked fairly well and has historic markers you can read while making quick stops.
