trail would be very nice except for three things. as of Oct 2017, trail head signs had been removed. new, empty posts were there so perhaps new signs coming in spring. second, whoever recorded this did so three years ago and on one place, trail goes off the blue blazes and reunites later but in another case, it goes off the blazes and dead-ends. I had to do a lot of backtracking. the third problem is the trail has some inner loops that also have the same blue blaze. without the signs and on a gray day with no sun for navigation, you can end up going in circles. I ended up doing more miles than intended and got back to car just before dark.

Map took me to a dead end road. Did not find the trail.

Great trail for running. If you start at Macarthur, the first 1.2 (and if you do an out-and-back, the last 1.2) is a bear! Trail is well marked with blue blazes and signs as you get further north. The confusion at the tail end (RV park) plus the need to cross traffic to pick up other portions of the trail are the only things keeping this from a 5-star rating.
