We have gone on this hike several times now. We love it. It's quick but will give you a work out!

As I have found with other hikes here, it was not accurate with getting me there. Hike itself was pretty short and easy. All uphill in and all downhill out. Nice quick hike. Best when there are no leaves.

The Buck Mountain Trail is located at MP 123.2 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a short (1 mile round trip) hike to the overlook at the summit. There's not much of a view, but it's a good leg stretcher if you are traveling the Parkway and need a break.

If you want a short quick hike then you've found it. Starts in the parking lot and works its way uphill. The top has a couple of benches to sit and picnic or just stare off into the woods with a little bit of a view. The path has some crushed gravel at the begining then turns to dirt.
