The trail is short, but contains a variety of obstacles. The trail follows the creek for about ten minutes with rock outcroppings lining parts of the trail and has some moderately steep slopes. Also, remnants of beaver activity can be found along the creek-side.

Beautiful scenery on a great trail. Lots of roots and rocks, so pay attention if you run it. The AT app makes navigating easy, but the trail is marked well, so you can roll without it. Only saw 3 people on my route, I guess it’s because it was cold today. Loved it. I’ll be back to run the others. 5 stars.

Well marked trail. Very light - definitely not moderate. Once you get off Laurel and onto Birch there is less traffic. Could easily be a trail run.

Such a different type of forest compared to Colorado where I am from. We needed the trail after sundown and the firefly show was amazing to watch.

Great light trail. Well built perfect for a short hike, with a few trails connected to mix it up. Doggo approved.

The trail was great, we brought our 12 year old daughter and 3 medium-sized dogs. The trail has short, but still managed to have several obstacles. It took us a little over an hour to get through it, to include the Laurel Loop Trail.

This branches off from laurel loop trail. Also located in prince William forest park. Short loop but combined with laurel makes for about 3 mile loop.
