Most of the trail loops through two large fields, although you pass though a beautiful wooded section beside a lake in between. Although you are in large open fields most of the time, you will also be peeking through trees and weeds at wetlands and Bells Mill Creek.

An ok trail if you live nearby and need to stretch your legs, but it really is just 2 giant fields with paths cut by mowers. I go every so often to walk the dog, but only on cloudy and windy days during warm months. Biting bugs can be really bad so I only go if there is a strong breeze. There is a brand new just finished parking lot. Be aware one loop can be super muddy and the other has a few muddy spots. My dog needed a bath when we got home today. Might be fun for kite flying.

Too much open area even for December. It must be a roaster in the summer.

Over 2 miles of the 2.5 miles takes place in two big open fields, one of which is behind the jail. But the trail that connects those two big loops is beautiful and runs between the wetlands and a photo-opt lake. One side of the two big fields border the wetlands too, but you are peeking through brush and weeds.
