Surprisingly challenging. Would not do in the summer, potential for mosquitoes is great. Spring and fall would be perfect time to enjoy this particular trail. Small muddy spots but easy to navigate around
Trail was well marked with signs and blazes. The beginning and the end of the trail had a significant number of people and dogs, but everyone was respectful. The middle portion of the trail had significantly less people. Would hike again.
Longer trail for our family. Easier end should go left at start near parking lot.
Beaver Lake is not much of a lake in winter. The trail was well maintained with some muddy spots. Added on Big Poplar Overlook for a bit more distance.
There were soooo many muddy parts where the whole width of the trail was covered. Fine for those of us on foot but definitely would not recommend for strollers!
So muddy today!! Everywhere! But the trail of drawn-in-the-sand smiley faces added a cheerful element to today’s chilly hike.
it was a cloudy day today but with having a day off from work it was still well worth the trip. it was nice to see a couple other people on the trail today and speak to them!
