Beautiful trail at the end you can see the beautiful view , little hard for under 5 kids ,the parking lot was pack with bikers and groups of people , also only few people wearing mask and respect social distances, there is no bathrooms right now , because the office for the Bears Den is close , but at the end it was ok

Nice easy to moderate trail with some elevation over some rocky parts. Kid and pet friendly. You can shorten the hike if needed just going to the Bear’s Den outlook and back and skipping the loop to the hostel.

Quick easy hike. Parking at Snickers Gap can be tricky, but were able to find a spot as it was a weekday. Nice uphill hike rewarded by great views.

Nice trail with a nicer view. It’s a short hike, wish it were a little longer but still a good way to spend an hour or two. Can get very crowded! Crowds and the fact you car hear the traffic brought an otherwise 5 star hike to 4 stars.

Verrrrry crowded on nice weekends but still a great hike for a quick getaway. Ravens Rock is very close and much more challenging, but the view is about the same from both lookouts.

Nice afternoon hike. Easy trail with a little uphill section. Was very crowded this weekend.

AMAZING HIKE! Hiked this trail last year and made sure to return this year! MUST SEE!

Great vertical, rocky trail with panoramic vista hanging from the ledges at the top. Cool cabin at top to visit later and maybe RON/camp. Pup is pooped, so it’s a keeper. Great times with great friends (the Robinson’s). Stopped at Mom’s Apple Pie afterward to picnic and grab some pie!

Beautiful fast hike to a gorgeous view. My girlfriend and I were able to go after work and get to the top, take it all in, and get back down to the parking lot before it got too dark.

Fantastic trail. You can either start from the base parking lot or drive a little up to shorten the distance. View is amazing. Very friendly hike and good local food spots afterwards.

Not a bad easy hike, but if you really enjoy natural beauty, this one isn't for you. My girlfriend and I made this hike last weekend, and it was fairly busy, and I noticed that the entire trail was marred by the noise and sight of Rt. 7 nearby. Once I pointed it out to my girlfriend, she agreed that it ruined the ambiance. The location, though, is close to many areas in Northern Virginia, and for many in the area, it may be a nice break from the hustle and bustle without taking an entire day.

Better view than Raven Rocks but very short. It's rocky enough to keep it interesting. I'd suggest hiking this after another hike. Alternatively, this is a perfectly good hike if you're short on time or want a very very kid and dog friendly jaunt. I didn't check out the visitors center. Should have. Great views at the top. Plan to visit this place again to watch the sun set and then hit up the brewery across the road.

A little muddy at the start of the trail, and you hear the highway nearly the whole time. Still, it was fun to get to the rocks at the top.

Perfect trail for someone who is just starting out hiking, or not in the best shape! Offers an awesome view at the top, and you can stop at Bears Chase Brewery after for a beer! This is one of my favorite trails.
