Didn't really love this trail. Not much of a "payoff" at the top where the radio/radar towers are. There was a nicer vantage point halfway up - an unmarked trail opens up on a field that was nice.

The trail itself was well marked and easily identified.

I did not see it mentioned (I could have missed it) but you should park at Beagle Gap parking area and cross the street.

The wife and I spent a whole weekend hiking Natural Bridge Cedar Creek trail, the Monacan trail, Crabtree Falls then we hopscotched different trails on Skyline drive. Friday was not so crowded but Saturday afternoon on Skyline Drive was packed and so were the trails. It was very hard finding parking spaces at many of the trail-heads. The Fall colors were in full gear. We did this short trail early in the morning. Not crowded if you go early. By the evening it was mobbed on the drive.

It's a fun, short little hike. Good for families and pets who might get tired out easily.

Easy walk though it is straight up hill to radio towers. There are a couple of tractor seats sunk in the ground at the summit. Quirky and quick and on the AT.
