AllTrails not correct - confusing (looks like they updated the trail!) Has fitness trail at start - not on AllTrails See map Dirt trail Noise from 295 Across from federal prison
Good trail for an afternoon run. Lots of roots and some hills up and down. Great views of the river and a small creek that runs through the park. Fitness trail is just some 4x4 posts for stretching.
Nice trail, but not well marked. All the double backs can be confusing. Saw 2 bald eagles! That was nice.
Damp and cold; trail in good shape other than a few leafed-over areas
This trail was nice if you like the challenging, unimproved hike—like I do and there are some nice water views. The only downside is that you can hear the highway the whole way.
Decent trail. The trail markers were a little confusing but we figured it out. Our kids (3, 5, 7) enjoyed it. Glad we went but it probably won’t make our list of favorite hikes. It is right next to a prison which is a little unnerving as you are driving to the trail head. The reality is you are probably safer with law enforcement right next to you.
This is not an easy trail. It is moderate. Easy trails have paved walkways and there is no elevation they are flat. This Trail has moderate elevation and there are places where there's washout. If you are not 100% steady on your feet there are places where you could lose your footing. This trail is not for beginners.
