Appalachian Trail: Kimberling Creek to Laurel Creek is a 11.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Bastian, Virginia that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Other than the first half mile which is on a gravel road this is a great hike with several vistas. I only did 4 miles out and back since the wind was blowing 25 to 30 miles an hour but it was still a nice hike.

We loved this trail! We did a slight variation by taking the Trail Boss Trail to add a loop and extra miles to turn it into an overnight. There are multiple vistas. Bring lots of water as there are only a few spots to filter water.
