Appalachian Trail: Compton Gap to Jenkins Gap is a 5.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Huntly, Virginia that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Great trail to hike, although can be quite strenuous on certain parts. Just hiked it twice this year in the summer and seen at least 5 black bears each time and other wildlife. Quite an awesome hike with the AT close by.
