During the summer months this park's gate closes at 8pm. Overall this place is great, I have even seen an osprey here. This place is fantastic for sunset photography. If coming here to kayak, there are often speed boaters along the CT river, off of the boat ramp. However, if the dam hasn't been drained recently, there is a great 'put in' spot on the other side of land along the cove itself, thereby bypassing the yahoos.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, good picnic cookout location, no fees and closes at dark so no camping either unfortunately.
