Nice short walk with limited elevation through the woods near Stowe. The trail wanders under a mixed tree canopy. Overall the trail is well maintained with split log bridges across muddy areas, a few well built bridges across streams and some exposed roots to negotiate.

We were surprised by wild, unleashed dogs but enjoyed our journey. Many trees down, please fix. The gnomes were weird but the bench was warm. My companion’s shorts were soiled by the end.

A favorite for me and my dog. It’s become more popular recently so more traffic but still easy enough to pick different trails to avoid other hikers. Make sure to visit the mailbox at the sugar house if you’re with a dog :)

Very nice easy well marked trail. The trail was a little ice but to be expected this time of year. My only one complaint is all the dog poop that people neglect to pick up. So rude and gross!

Busy with a lot of snowshoers and cross country skiers, but with a couple inches of packed snow on the trail, hiking boots were just fine. Fresh snow fall made for a winter wonderland!

Nice and easy trail. Family and dog friendly. Mostly flat. Great for snowshoeing as well. Recommended if you’re around the area and wanna get out for a nice little hike.

Magical place. Lots of easter eggs. Beautiful meadow along the way. Would recommend for an easy stroll in the woods on a nice day.

Really pleasant trail. Wide pathways and occasional walking boards so not very muddy. The variety of trees (maple, birch, pine, hemlock) make for some interesting transitional landscapes. Can grab some free beer samples at the Alchemist brewery nearby.

The trail was very well maintained, but the bugs were horrible- the mosquitoes and deer flies kept biting my dog and I. There was 1 view over the Meadow where you could see the mountains.

Muddy and buggy after t-storms the day before. Not an “easy” in hike rating. Many decent inclines, and not flat footing to sea with. On the easy side of “moderate.” Well worth it.

Pleasant walk with the family and dog. Several loop options. Be aware of signage as there are quite a few private trails. Maps at the entrance and poop bags. It had been raining for a few days prior, but was warm and there were a lot of mosquitoes. A couple of trails were very muddy also. Would go again.

Great weather. Nice trail, but people not taking the "clean up after your pet" instructions seriously. Very dirty.
