I was hopeful about this trail after reading the reviews. It is easy, quick, but with only one tiny peek-a-boo view (Sunrise Trail). What is disappointing about this trail, that others reported, is that it is not well groomed. Sticks and branches litter the beginning of the trial, then the tree roots. I am not bothered by the tree roots, but when it is hard to determine if branches or tree roots are in your path, your awareness is caught up with staying safe rather than the trees in front of you.

This is not the Sunset Trail but the Sunrise Trail. This can be confusing when establishing your bearings. Small trail with a scenic vista. Lovely hemlock forest along part of the path.

Good for any level hiker and all ages. Mostly flat. Not particularly well groomed but trail is well marked. Good casual hike.
