Paved trail following the river. Lots of places to stop for a picnic or pub/restaurant meal. Pubs and restaurants have made their patios very kid friendly with games, swings and just areas for energetic kid to romp. A great family ride or walk. If you start in Stowe and ride toward the mountain you get the benefit of a slight down hill run on your way back. As I get older this becomes more important

Go early in the day- on a weekday- fewer people and it is very enjoyable. Gorgeous scenery and a quick ride on a bike.

A nice easy bike path for all levels. Definitely heavily trafficked, even on a Wednesday. Lots of people not really paying attention to others. The bridges were a little narrow, but you could hear if others were on it. Lots of nice views of cornfields and mountains and plenty of places to swim in the river or eat a picnic. Stowe locals and tourists seem to make up the majority of the traffic. If you’re out for a nice bike/walk/run and don’t mind lots of people, it’s a nice spot!

great paved trail that runs parallel to a river. It was a beautiful day after a rainy day. Thus there were a lot of people and a lot of bikes. this Trail needs to be widened to accommodate bikes and skateboarders along with walkers. 7 ft wide is just not enough.

Skied from Chase Park to the covered bridge. River and birds beat out the traffic sounds on nearby Rte 108.

Great for a morning run. Pretty views. A few small hills but nothing crazy. I just ran the southernmost 2.5 miles of it.

Rented bikes from Mountain Ops & rode all the way to downtown Stowe with family of 5. Very scenic easy ride but a lot of pedestrian traffic (nearly run off the path more than once). Some spots were pretty narrow (bridges & underpass) but path was pretty & well marked. Lots of places to stop and explore along the way to Town. Corn maze, Farmer’s market, Pie-Casso, the recreation path was well connected to the places you want to go! Save some energy for the ride back from Stowe, it seemed more uphill than down (or I was just tired from dragging the tandem behind me).

This is an excellent walking trail, and if your intentions are to walk and see wildlife peacefully, make sure to take the Quiet Side trail (if beginning from the downtown Stowe area). I have been here a few times, and have seen many beavers and other animals along this path. The views are great too!

This is more a paved bike/walk trail than a hiking trail. We vaca with our dog and I walk this with him from our room on the Mountain Road to the various shops and restaurants. This trail is not about the view, rather, it's being able to get around areas of Stowe without walking alongside the road.

Beautiful and easy walking trail. We did 6 miles out and back (3 each way). It was a great recovery walk after doing The Long Trail to the Chin the day before.

I loved it! The only flaw is that for me I had no idea where to turn around and the constant background noise. Other than that, it was incredible!!!!

It was nice but I was expecting more but it is great for all skill levels as well as biking and is strollerable and dog friendly but pooches must be leashed and clean up your scat. I was thinking there was more scenic stuff on this trail.

Just a walk in the park. Nice stroll but not much of a hike nor are there views. A lot of bike traffic to maneuver around too. Not all bikers know the rules of the road so you need to be aware of them or may get knocked over or run into.

Some greenery, nice scenery with the mountains around, easy, but you're never far from the road, fact reminded by the constant traffic noise and the regular crossings. Nice for a daily run, less for a Sunday hike.

It was an easy walk. We did this walk in the beginning of November and it wasn't busy at all.

Super relaxing path around town with beautiful views. Thru town, fields, near the quiet path, under a covered bridge... Just a great way to get around. Accessible to any and all!

Beautiful scenery, nice trail to bike along if your in the area. If your staying at a hotel/motel, if you lucky a lot of them will rent out bikes. You can get in some nice views of Mt. Mansfield. It can be sometimes trafficked with people
