Great for a day outdoors. Canoeing, chilling by the lake, camping, you name it.

The hike was great. The trail head is easily located. The head leads to two trails- Rattlesnake Ridge (app 3 miles round trip) and Silver Lake (3.5 miles round trip) both pass the Falls of Lana. If you hike down the Falls there is a spot to swim, but the hike is along a rocky cliff edge.

Silver Lake part of a campground
At the very top, there are only about 10 sites so it's not very busy. When you reach the top you can go left to Larry's Lookout, which gives you a great view (slightly obstructed by telephone wires) over Dunmore and the mountains beyond. If you take a left and then follow the camp signs to the picnic area you will come across a little beach. Another option is the hike around the lake- which is amazing!
