Description
Waypoints (1)

A nice easy stroll in the woods to a couple of lovely lookouts of Lake Champlain. Accessibility: There may not be any designated handicapped-accessible spaces at the parking area on Central Avenue at the start of the trail. There are at least 4 designated handicapped and van-accessible parking spots at the parking lot marked with a waypoint. The trail surface is natural dirt or gravel, and typically at least 4 feet wide. The most accessible portion of the trail has its own trail page here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/vermont/red-rocks-park-trail--2 The estimated grade is mostly gentle except for very steep (over 12%) uphill and downhill sections from about 0.7 through 1.7 miles when going counterclockwise. Wheelchair/mobility equipment or stroller users may need assistance in the steeper sections or to avoid them for safety. All-terrain tires or motorized equipment may be needed for the natural and potentially uneven surface type.

Love this trail! A little muddy in spots but perfect day for a walk in the woods! Stunning views of Champlain. Great path for walking the dog as well!

Nicely groomed. Dog friendly. Lots of dogs off-leash (something to think about if your dog isn’t very friendly...like mine). Nice views of the lake!

Icy in spots, but that’s to be expected in February. Otherwise quite easy to traverse.

Very accessible. My wife does not like it when her knees hurt. This trail was easy and had multiple birds and views. Kids did not get lost. They stayed on the trail.

Nice after-work stroll. Make sure to explore the area near the point; there is a beautiful lookout area on a rock if you walk toward the coast.
